Our music programme is as intensive as it is extensive! But lashings of fun!

Rehearsals

Every weekend (barring Easter and Christmas School Holidays) on Saturday afternoon, from 2PM until 5PM at the Ainslie Arts Centre, Elouera Street, Braddon. Contact 62608911 for directions or see map.

We will perform four major concerts in 2012, as well as playing in retirement villages and at commmunity events.

Future directions in music

MCO is very interested in the development of community music. Areas of interest include:

• To continue to explore the great repertoire
• To encourage more and more people to participate in the orchestra repertoire.
• Opera and choral collaboration - Working with other community musicians, choirs and groups to provide opera works, choral symphonies and other musical works of interest.
• Chamber and ensemble - A wonderful area of classical music which gives the opportunity to members of the MCO to further expand their music horizons.
